"Wooden frog" is a small shop where you will find craftsmen handmade goods. We opened in May 2003. We - Guntars and Evija Andersons, the owners of "Wooden frog", come from Sigulda and that is the place we live in. Since 1997 we also work in our woodshop with our assistants. We make nice trinkets for kids, souvenirs, various decorations for home, fine household objects. We brought them to fairs and markets until our customers encouraged us to open our own shop. We named it after green tree/wood frog, which was one of our first articles. It has the exact crucial skill for shop patroness – it improves mood both for big and for small.

In order to make things more interesting for our customers, we have also asked other handicraftsmen to fill the Frogbox. Artisans from Latvia, neighboring Lithuania and Estonia and even from faraway Hungary meet in " Wooden frog". You will find various wooden things, nice textiles, practical knitting, interesting ceramics, original bijouterie, candles, aromatic herb bags, nice trinkets and even musical instruments! Every smallish item that we accept for sale is handpicked. Everything should match the concept and the atmosphere of the shop and everybody should find something suitable – both beauty – lovers and those who prefer functional solutions.

We wrap each purchase in special " Wooden frog” sealed paperbag and rope it with linen strand. If your purchase is a gift we will ornament it with nice natural decor. You can also buy a linen gift bag.

It is possible to place orders in the shop. For instance, if the patch blanket catches your eye but you would like a different size or the colors do not suit the interior of your house, we can definitely talk about more fitting solution.
